thank you for the updated script! Getting rid of jquery (and those quirks) is a welcome improvement. However, I have another feature request.
I'd like to abort the waiting function if the element hasn't been found after a timeout (e.g. "if this hasn't shown up after 15 seconds, we don't need the callback anymore and can stop waiting"). This is probably OCD on my end, but I'd like it. Do you think this is a feasible addition? :)
