Select not selected by tabbing in Safari

When I tab through the form fields in Safari, the selects are simply ignored.

Safari 8.0.3
Mac OS X 10.10.2

Do you mind creating a jsFiddle reproducing the issue? It seems like I can select it, but it may seem like it's not selected due to the lack of outline when active.

Ok, here's my first try on jsfiddle:

When I select the first text field and hit tab, the selection outline jumps straight to the second text field and skips the select box.
When I select something with the mouse, the selection outline stays at the select box and I can then use the arrow keys and return to select something as expected. It seems, that the select function works as expected but the field is ignored when tabbing through the form's fields.
This is only the case in Safari. I do not have problems with either chrome or firefox.

So this may be one solution, but Safari has an option in Preferences > Advanced > Universal Access > Press Tab... that when checked, seems to fix the problem. However, it also seems like the issue could be because the actual <select> element is hidden via display: none and this PR could possible fix the issue in Safari OSX as well.

I'm going to look into that PR and see if resolves the issue, but in the meantime, the Safari option may be short term solution.
