[bug] Title Gen adds Traditional Chinese characters in HistorySidebar panel

I am chatting in English to a model, yet the HistorySidebar is showing the chat "title" as a mixture of Chinese and English. It would be helpful if I could right click on the Chat and rename it:

Regarding the mixed Chinese and English issue, you can navigate to the Model Setting page and click Custom Prompt. If there's any Chinese content in there, please delete it and save - this should fix the problem. This might be caused by a bug that occurs in certain situations.

I appreciate your patience in this matter.

I have deleted all my conversations with Kimi K2, as it was doing email administration, so the conversations are transient in nature. I am now trying Mistral AI "mistral-large-latest" (a French model), which is also multi-lingual.

Just now I did a fresh conversation with Mistral using these settings:

I also included a pure English prompt about email, which was served by this MCP code: https://github.com/simbo1905/fastmail-mcp-server. The title of the chat renders as follows, where I have replaced parts with "█" for reasons of privacy.

Checking the translation of the text, it is correctly summarising the thread. This leads me to believe that the system prompt is in Chinese, and it is prompting the model to create a "chat title". Since the prompt is in Chinese, the model is setting the title in Chinese.

I am running the MacOS build. It does not show me a version number. When I look at the settings, I see:

It shows me that I can disable the system prompt. I am more than happy to tune the system prompt when I have time and/or build experimental versions from source to explore. Yet I would prefer to run one "unmodified stock" install of the tool that I avoid breaking, even if I opt to build my own version to explore it.

This means I don't want to delete your system prompts and have to guess my own. I would prefer that you amend your system prompt to say

If the prompt is written in a language other than Chinese, when creating the title for the chat, use the same language as the prompt.

It is not common for native English speakers to directly use Chinese models or to use multilingual French models. That means it may be the case that other English speakers are using Silicon Valley models that are reinforcement-trained in English, such that those models may tend to default to English.

I am happy to test an experimental build on MacOS that has an updated system prompt if you would like me to test out the theory.

System prompt is not in Chinese. However, we did find that the developer specifically emphasized in Title Gen that if the input contains Traditional Chinese characters, use Traditional Chinese for the title.

We will fix this part with new title_prompt ASAP. Thanks for reporting this issue.
