Open MaxIO is a good idea to differentiate from OpenMAX, OpenMAX AL, OpenMAX IL, OpenMAX DL etc https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenMAX

I feel "Open" on top of "MaxIO" in Small letters would also be a good choice

I have nothing to add on Design or Branding, just that #16cfa8 is the inverted colour.

I would like to propose this logo for OpenMaxIO, inspired by the idea of a blue phoenix that represents renewal, resilience, and the ability to evolve. I believe this image perfectly symbolizes the spirit of our community: we are building a more sophisticated, easy-to-use, and truly open source object storage engine, rising anew from the limitations imposed by other projects.
