Feature Request: Optional: Make checkpoint work only with a given version of R?

Would it be possible to give the ability to the user to specify a given version of R with which the script would work, and if such requirement is not met, and informative error is raised?

For version 0.4.x, have you tried using the R.version argument to checkpoint? For version 1.0, the r_version argument should do the same thing. To get an error instead of a warning, use options(warn=2).
