I agree with the option to record to USB, it could be easily used as a back up as well. I like the idea of the recent observations, I would like to see the option to choose the default view or enhanced view. I have used a few other Birdnet-Pi builds, Birdnet-PiPy is my favorite and the quick replies for support is very much appreciated. |

Hi! Loving PiPy so far!
I've made a comment on the Reddit thread where I found this but cross-posting here just in case:
Any chance we can add mounted USB / Network drives to save audio to prevent SD wear and tear?
I noticed the bird's default image sometimes bring the juvenile bird, which can be strikingly different (Robin a clear example) - I have changed that manually but it would be good to have a 2-3 pre selected images we can pick from.
and suggested changes on the UI:
Live Feed: Add a small "Live Feed" button top-right
Latest Observation: The audio bar is a bit too big. Shrink it down and put a full-height circular bird pic on the far left, followed by the names and time.
Recent Observations: This could to be more visual. Maybe a horizontal row of circular bird images with the name and time right underneath each one?
Hourly Activity: Add "Previous/Next Day" buttons so we can actually scroll back and compare stats.
Species Page: Can we get a full-width box with the eBird description
