The install size could be cut about 90% by adding a files entry to package.json. Happy to contribute that as a change but not sure if you're still active on GitHub because it looks like the last activity was 2020. Seems like it'd be nice to publish a 1.0.3 saves 109kb per install, and over 5.5 million installs per week that'd be a nice amount of savings.
