Hi — we were reviewing the public x402 metadata around /x402/gift-cards/search and noticed that the discovery information can expose multiple payment/auth paths, while the agent documentation also distinguishes x402 from SIWX/JWT flows.
From the perspective of a stateless autonomous buyer, it isn’t completely clear from the machine-readable metadata which path/state requirements apply before payment.
Is that ambiguity intentional, or is there another piece of metadata buyers are expected to use?
We’re testing a read-only x402 metadata validator and would be interested in whether making this distinction machine-verifiable would be useful.
