How to properly create 1:1 mirror with no shapshots

Hi! I have just gotten Vykar going and was wondering if Vykar supports mirroring without snapshots? I want to be able to backup a 1:1 copy of a folder to S3 storage and when I run another backup a week later, I'd like the changes to be uploaded/deleted.

Right now I think the best way to do this is to set a retention of 1 and after running a backup to prune all the snapshots, but is there a better or more appropriate way to achieve this?

If you want to back up to multiple repos, you just add multiple repos.

If you are talking about syncing files, you may want to look into rclone.

Got it thank you. I wasn't sure if Vykar had options somewhat similar for making just mirrors of data to a remote repo. I think what I am trying to accomplish is more along the idea of syncing files. I don't need snapshots for my use case. I'm just looking for a tool to create encrypted off-site backups in S3 weekly and want the repo to mirror the source.

It's more stable to add multiple repos in that case. Otherwise you are building a backup chain. This adds failure modes and risks syncing a bad backup. Keeping it flat is the suggested way in this situation.
