Describe the new feature you would like

Since we are monitoring system resources, I would like a feature that periodically generates a report file containing the selected metrics. That would be useful for further static analysis, however I don't know if this fits in the scope of your tool.
For example, there could be a toggable option that enables appending information to a log file after every interval that vitals scans.
