On a fresh checkout of FireStep 1.0, I get the following error message when trying to compile in the Arduino IDE:
JsonController.cpp:10:21: fatal error: git_tag.h: No such file or directory
#include "git_tag.h"
^
compilation terminated.
Error compiling.
Per the firepick mailing list, this happens to all of us running from the Arduino IDE and not ./build script. As I'm running (regretfully) from Windows, I'd much rather just use the arduino IDE than having to run a script via cygwin / MingGW / MYSYS / MSYS2, etc (which are all horrid). (edit: upon further inspection, there's no way the install could run from Windows in any possible configuration, to the best of my knowledge, short of a full VM)
