unusable patch script on Macos

I'm trying to install it on MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1 but the patch script seems to be not working on MacOS. AI said it's got something to do with the difference of sed grammar between MacOS and Linux.

sed: 1: "s/QWT_CONFIG\s*+=\s*Qw ...": RE error: repetition-operator operand invalid

Maybe it's the difference between the BSD sed and GNU sed

I've looked at this briefly. Solving sed incompatibility was a bit tricky, ideally I would like to replace it with a native cmake script to remove external dependency. I found the easiest solution was to install gnu-sed. But in the end I couldn't complete a successful build on mac due to other problems :/

that's right. I've solved the sed problem perfectly with gnu-sed, but later it just can't find head files of qwt, like qwt_plot.h.

I had the same problem with sed and also fixed it with gnu-sed from homebrew. Then building with the default BUILD_QWT=True I also get missing header errors. If i then used a prebuilt qwt version either by building myself or using the one from brew I get the following cmake error:

This maybe seems like a problem outside of serialplot, but I thought we might be able to help each other find a solution. I am currently stuck on this and don't find much on this otool thing...
