For staff on open days, maybe it would be useful to have guided demo mode in the UI that walks them through the suggested settings, so that they have some automated support for the demonstration, reducing the training burden. It could possibly even highlight data entry moments or buttons, so that they are more visible to viewers.
A generic capability could be helpful here ... would this require an intermediate layer like an API? Is there a mock-human testing library that we could use here? A browser extension might be going a step too far ... but .... being able to select demo mode from the main welcome screen, and hop through the whole process would be cool ....
Such a demo mode might only use a kit for a few minutes, so we could offer up spare kit for use for guided tours on an almost unlimited basis, in that it would not provide much free use beyond the demo period but would help people help and understand/share with others.
