[Bug]: SIM Names didnt working on both : root (KernelSU) and non-root devices

Bug Description

yo mate, how does this feature works? i tested this on my device which is in root device, i tested it in non-root device and its not working too..
can anyone know how to fix this?

Root Device Info :
Name : Infinix Hot 50 5g
Rom : XOS 17 (Custom Rom)
Chipset : Mediatek Helio G100

Non-rooted Device :
Name : Infinix GT 30 Pro
Rom : XOS 15
Chipset : MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Essential
2. Go To Network
3. Tap "SIM Names"

Expected Behavior

i expected this feature to changing my SIM name to fake my provider

Probably OEM specific. Works on Pixel which is the only one I can test

This won't work on custom roms as it's mostly how the framework is made for... I am on latest QPR2 beta Android 17 on a 9 Pro.
