Log improvement: Clarify PCIe BSA test logs with RCiEP/iEP/EP tagging

similar to the existing IE/RE rule tests, can we append a postfix like "for RCiEP/iEP" to the test descriptoin of all PCIe tests that validate BSA PCI_* (e.g. PCI_IN_* , PCI_MM_* , and so on)?

Currently, integrated PCIe device tests and normal PCIe device tests are different test implementations, but they print the same rule ID/test number/description in the log. That makes it hard to discuss a specific failure from a snippet because we can’t tell whether it’s for integrated or normal PCIe without the full log.

Thank you for raising this issue.
The PCIe PCI_* rules are executed via test wrappers as multiple tests are run for one rule, so the log header comes from the wrapper’s rule metadata, not from each internal test entry. The printed line is generated only once from rule_id + test_num + rule_desc at rule_based_execution_helpers.c:170, and wrappers then run the required subtests under that same rule header (example: test_wrappers.c for PCI_MM_01 runs P045/P103 + E016).

So appending postfix text at individual PCIe test level won’t show up in the rule header unless we change wrapper-level logging/metadata. This is not a trivial change as it requires framework level updates.

The integrated device tagging for RCiEP and iEP/RP rules has now been completed with this change: #302

The remaining work is to tag the PCI_* rule tests that also run for integrated devices. As Sujana noted in the comment above, this is not straightforward because the same tests are used for normal EP/RP in BSA L1 execution, and they are also exercised for integrated devices as part of BSA FR and SBSA L6.

Appending that information will require changes to the current rule-based design, and ACS will investigate this further
