A GitLab project (gitlab.com or a company's own, through the glab CLI) is now a floor like a GitHub repo: the elevator lists and clones it, its issues and merge requests hang on the boards, MR windows show pipeline jobs, line threads and the diff, and merging, commenting, closing, labels, claiming issues and opening an MR from a desk all work. Workers' prompts and the office's wording use glab, MR and !12 on a GitLab floor. With accounts, everyone can sign in to their own GitLab with a token. A checkout whose origin is on another host (GitHub Enterprise) stays with gh, as before: only a host named gitlab or one glab is signed in to counts as a GitLab.
