MediaTools

MediaTools is a web-based workstation for content creation and local media processing. It integrates video downloading, subtitle processing, AI analysis, FFmpeg transcoding, asset management, Adobe automation, and an executable AI assistant.

Quick Start

Requirements

• Python 3.11+
• Node.js 20+ (frontend development only)
• Windows: prefer .bat launch scripts

Setup

# Install dependencies
pip install -r requirements.txt
pip install -r requirements-dev.txt

# Configure environment
Copy-Item .env.example .env
# Edit .env: set TEC_CHI_API_KEY, adjust port if needed

Prepare External Tools

python -m cli.main fetcher ytdlp download

FFmpeg/ffprobe should be in bin/ or system PATH.

Launch

python app.py

Default URLs:

• Web workstation: http://127.0.0.1:7860
• API docs: http://127.0.0.1:7860/docs

Windows users can double-click start_mediatools.bat (normal) or start_mediatools_dev.bat (development).

vendor/ contains third-party source code and embedded tools. Each tool has an INTEGRATION.md / INTEGRATION.zh.md documenting its role in MediaTools.

Known Limitations

• capcut-mate, Adobe automation, and auditing depend on local software and environment
• AI analysis quality depends on subtitle quality and model configuration
• vendor/ contains third-party documentation, not MediaTools documentation
