Hi 👋, I'm Mert Efe Soroğlu

Software Developer · Product Builder · Founder of Crafter

Backend-focused Full-Stack Developer building scalable APIs, distributed systems, integrations and SaaS products with Node.js & TypeScript.

Crafter Crafter npm

👨‍💻 About Me

I'm Mert Efe Soroğlu, a software developer and product builder from Istanbul, Türkiye.

My primary ecosystem is JavaScript / TypeScript and Node.js, with a strong focus on backend engineering, API development, system integrations, distributed systems and full-stack product development.

I enjoy building software that solves real problems — from developer libraries and API clients to business integrations, game-server infrastructure and complete SaaS platforms.

My development journey has evolved from small JavaScript projects into increasingly complex systems involving:

  • 🔌 API & system integrations
  • ⚙️ Backend architectures
  • 📦 Open-source npm packages
  • 🧾 E-invoicing infrastructure
  • 💳 Payment systems
  • 🎮 Game-server infrastructure
  • 🔐 Authentication systems
  • ⚡ Real-time communication
  • 📨 Message queues & asynchronous processing
  • 🗄️ Caching & high-speed data access
  • 🎨 CMS & theme ecosystems
  • ☁️ SaaS products

One of my main focuses is Crafter, an independent software ecosystem that I build and develop.

🚀 Crafter

Crafter Crafter GitHub

Crafter is a game-server software ecosystem designed to help gaming communities build, manage and grow their online infrastructure.

Crafter connects the web, game server, commerce and community layers into a unified ecosystem.

What Crafter provides

  • 🎮 Game-server infrastructure
  • 👤 Player & user management
  • 🛒 Server stores
  • 💳 Payment integrations
  • 🔐 Authentication
  • ⚡ Real-time server communication
  • 📊 Analytics
  • 🎨 Customizable themes
  • 🧩 Marketplace infrastructure
  • 🔌 Developer integrations
  • 🌐 Modern web infrastructure

Crafter is built around gaming communities, with its strongest current server-side ecosystem centered around Minecraft.

The goal behind Crafter is simple:

Give game server owners the tools to build, operate and grow a professional online community from a single ecosystem.

Crafter goes beyond a traditional CMS by combining:

Web Applications · APIs · Authentication · Payments · Game-Server Communication · Community Infrastructure

🏗️ Crafter Ecosystem

Crafter is developed as a collection of open-source components rather than a single application.

🔌 CrafterConnect

Java · MIT

A WebSocket-based, real-time server plugin connecting Crafter with Minecraft servers.

Features include:

  • Spigot support
  • Velocity support
  • Real-time delivery
  • Server ↔ Web communication
  • Store integration
  • In-game delivery systems

CrafterConnect forms the bridge between Crafter's web infrastructure and the Minecraft server.

🔐 CrafterAuth

Java · AGPL-3.0

A Minecraft authentication system for Velocity proxies built around a virtual Limbo server.

It extends Crafter's infrastructure into the actual player connection and authentication layer.

🔐 LimboAuth

Java · AGPL-3.0

A LimboAuth-based authentication plugin developed for the Crafter ecosystem.

🧰 Crafter CLI

TypeScript

A command-line tool for managing Crafter themes and Marketplace workflows.

The CLI is designed to make theme development and distribution easier within the Crafter ecosystem.

🎨 Crafter Themes

Crafter includes an extensible theme ecosystem.

Current public themes include:

  • Liquided Theme
  • Aethelgard Theme

Themes allow the visual layer of a Crafter installation to be customized without changing the core platform.

🧾 NetteFatura Ecosystem

Another important area of my work is business software and e-invoicing integrations.

I developed and published Node.js / TypeScript packages for the İşNet NetteFatura ecosystem.

nettefatura-api

A TypeScript / Node.js client for the NetteFatura SOAP services.

The project provides a typed and developer-friendly interface for operations around:

  • e-Fatura
  • e-Arşiv
  • Taxpayer queries
  • Invoice queries
  • Invoice cancellation
  • UBL-TR
  • XML document generation
  • PDF / HTML document operations
  • Production and test environments

📦 npm: nettefatura-api

💻 GitHub: EfeSorogluu/NetteFatura-API

nettefatura-portal

A Node.js / TypeScript client for automating interactions with the NetteFatura web portal.

It deals with browser-oriented workflows including:

  • Authentication
  • Session management
  • CSRF handling
  • Company management
  • Customer management
  • Product/service management
  • Invoice workflows

The project is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by İşNet or GİB.

📦 npm: nettefatura-portal

🔌 Integration Engineering

One of the strongest themes across my projects is integration engineering.

I enjoy connecting systems that were never originally designed to work together.

My projects have involved integrations with:

  • 🧾 E-invoicing platforms
  • 💳 Payment providers
  • 📱 WhatsApp
  • 💬 Discord
  • 🎮 Minecraft
  • 🌐 Web portals
  • 🛒 Game stores
  • 🔌 External APIs
  • ⚡ WebSocket services
  • 📡 Hardware interfaces

I enjoy solving the problem at the center of modern software:

How do we make different systems communicate reliably?

⚙️ Backend & Distributed Systems

My strongest technical focus is backend engineering and building systems that can scale beyond a single application.

I work with:

  • REST APIs
  • SOAP APIs
  • WebSockets
  • Authentication & authorization
  • Session management
  • Caching
  • Message queues
  • Asynchronous processing
  • Event-driven architectures
  • Background workers
  • Third-party integrations
  • Payment infrastructure
  • Database-driven applications
  • Automation
  • Server-side architectures

My primary backend ecosystem is:

Node.js · TypeScript · JavaScript · Express

For scalable and reliable systems, I also work with:

Redis · RabbitMQ · Docker

🧩 Architecture & Infrastructure

I work with architecture patterns such as:

API → Queue → Worker → Database

and:

Application → Redis → RabbitMQ → Background Services

These patterns allow applications to handle:

  • Asynchronous workloads
  • Background jobs
  • Caching
  • Inter-service communication
  • Event-driven workflows
  • High-volume operations

I enjoy designing systems where individual components can communicate reliably while remaining maintainable and independently scalable.

🎮 Game Server Infrastructure

Game-server development has played an important role in my journey.

I've worked with technologies and systems around:

  • Minecraft
  • Spigot
  • Velocity
  • Limbo
  • Websender
  • WebSocket communication
  • Authentication
  • Server ↔ Web communication
  • In-game commerce
  • Automated delivery systems

This experience eventually evolved into the Crafter ecosystem.

📦 Open Source & npm

I publish reusable developer tools and libraries through npm.

Some of my work includes:

  • nettefatura-api
  • nettefatura-portal
  • WhatsappJS
  • Shopier API
  • Websender.js
  • ItemSatış Custom API
  • MFRC522 Raspberry Pi integration

I enjoy turning recurring engineering problems into reusable libraries and developer tools.

🧠 Engineering Philosophy

I believe the best way to become a better developer is to build real systems and solve real problems.

My approach is:

Build → Understand → Improve

I care about:

  • Architecture
  • Maintainability
  • Security
  • Performance
  • Reliability
  • Developer experience
  • Documentation
  • Real-world usability

I prefer learning technologies by building with them rather than learning them only in theory.
