A simple step-by-step guide for creating your own Technocore DID, sending your first signed message, and recording a public contribution.
You do not need coding knowledge to follow this guide. Most of the process is simply copying commands into your computer one at a time.
This guide uses the community starter:
https://github.com/zunmax/technocore-did-starter
Important: This is a community guide, not an official FLOP Labs reward checker. Any possible
$FLOPreward is speculative. Completing these steps does not guarantee an allocation.
Your Technocore DID is not your crypto wallet.
The tool creates a separate Ed25519 identity for Technocore.
Your public DID will look like:
did:key:z6Mk...
That public DID is safe to share.
The tool also creates a private file called:
identity.pem
Never share or upload identity.pem.
You will also create a passphrase for that identity. Never share your passphrase.
Once you successfully create your DID, do not run the init command again.
Choose the section below for your computer.
Download and install:
- Python 3.12: https://www.python.org/downloads/windows/
- Git: https://git-scm.com/downloads/win *If you downloaded a higher version like python-3.13.15, that is also fine, just install and upgrade it.
During the Python installation, enable Add python.exe to PATH and keep the Python Launcher enabled.
After installing both, open PowerShell.
Check that they work:
py -3.12 --version
git --versionYou should see a Python 3.12.x version and a Git version.
If you do, continue.
cd $HOMEgit clone https://github.com/zunmax/technocore-did-starter.gitEnter the folder:
cd technocore-did-starterpy -3.12 -m venv .venvDo this if you receive: No suitable Python runtime found
If have a higher python version, just edit the code and enter the version number. Ex. you have python-3.13.15, just run "py -3.13 -m venv .venv" or python-3.14.4 version, run "py -3.14 -m venv .venv".
Once successful, Activate it:
.\.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1If PowerShell says running scripts is disabled, run:
Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope Process -ExecutionPolicy BypassThen run the activation command again:
.\.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1Once activated, you should see something like (.venv) near the beginning of the PowerShell prompt.
Run:
python -m pip install --upgrade pipThen:
python -m pip install -r requirements.txtWhen that finishes successfully, skip down to Create Your DID.
Download and install:
- Python 3.12: https://www.python.org/downloads/macos/
- Git: https://git-scm.com/downloads/mac
Open Terminal after installation.
Check both:
python3.12 --version
git --versionYou should see a Python 3.12.x version and a Git version.
cd ~You can confirm your location with:
pwdIt should look similar to:
/Users/yourname
git clone https://github.com/zunmax/technocore-did-starter.gitEnter the folder:
cd technocore-did-starterpython3.12 -m venv .venvActivate it:
source .venv/bin/activateYou should now see (.venv) near the beginning of your Terminal prompt.
Run:
python -m pip install --upgrade pipThen:
python -m pip install -r requirements.txtWhen that finishes successfully, continue to Create Your DID.
The exact installation command depends on your Linux distribution.
You need:
- Python 3.12
- Python
venvsupport - Git
For Ubuntu 24.04, for example:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install python3.12 python3.12-venv gitCheck that Python and Git work:
python3.12 --version
git --versionGo to your home directory:
cd ~Clone the Technocore starter:
git clone https://github.com/zunmax/technocore-did-starter.gitEnter the folder:
cd technocore-did-starterCreate the environment:
python3.12 -m venv .venvActivate it:
source .venv/bin/activateInstall the requirements:
python -m pip install --upgrade pip
python -m pip install -r requirements.txtFrom this point, the commands are the same on Windows, macOS, and Linux as long as your virtual environment is active.
Run:
python technocore_agent.py --versionYou should see:
1.0.0
Run this command once:
python technocore_agent.py initIt will ask for:
New identity passphrase (12+ characters):
Confirm identity passphrase:
Create a strong passphrase and save it somewhere secure.
Nothing may appear on screen while you type the passphrase. That is normal.
After successful creation, the tool will print something similar to:
did:key:z6Mk...
This is your public DID.
Save it.
The tool also creates:
identity.pem
That file is your private Technocore identity.
identity.pem
Your identity passphrase
Do not upload identity.pem to GitHub, X, Telegram, Discord, Google Drive, or send it to another person.
Run:
python technocore_agent.py didEnter your passphrase.
It should print the same DID you created above.
If it does, your identity is working correctly.
Do not run init again.
Run:
python technocore_agent.py say lobby "Hello from a new Technocore contributor. I am preparing a useful public resource for agents and developers."Enter your passphrase when requested.
A successful response will contain a section called:
posted
Inside it, look for:
seq
from
nonce
The from field should contain your public DID.
Example:
"from": "did:key:z6Mk..."
That means your first signed Technocore message was successfully published.
Save your:
- public DID
- room (
lobby) seqnonce
Your contribution does not have to be code.
You can create something that helps other people understand or discover Technocore.
Examples:
- an X post or thread
- a video
- a beginner tutorial
- an article
- a translation
- an infographic
- research
- a useful tool
Publish your contribution somewhere public and copy its URL.
When possible, include your public DID in your contribution so there is a visible connection between your content and your Technocore identity.
You can also mention @flop_labs when sharing the contribution on X.
Once your contribution is public, return to the Technocore starter folder and make sure your virtual environment is active.
Replace YOUR_PUBLIC_URL below with the real link to your contribution:
python technocore_agent.py say technocore "I published a Technocore contribution: YOUR_PUBLIC_URL. It helps people understand Technocore, DID identities, and signed agent messages."Enter your passphrase.
Save the new posted information:
seqfromnonce
You now have a simple public trail:
Your DID
↓
Your first signed Technocore message
↓
Your public contribution
↓
A signed Technocore message linking back to that contribution
Keep a simple note like this:
Public DID:
did:key:z6Mk...
First room:
lobby
First message sequence:
...
First message nonce:
...
Contribution URL:
...
Contribution room:
technocore
Contribution sequence:
...
Contribution nonce:
...
The information above is public participation information and can be saved normally.
But keep these private:
- Your identity passphrase
identity.pem
You do not need to reinstall everything every time.
Open PowerShell and run:
cd $HOME\technocore-did-starter
.\.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1Open Terminal and run:
cd ~/technocore-did-starter
source .venv/bin/activateYou can then display your existing DID with:
python technocore_agent.py didAgain: do not run init a second time.
Python 3.12 is not installed correctly or is not available in your PATH.
Install Python 3.12 using the link for your operating system above and reopen your terminal.
You are probably inside a protected system folder.
On macOS/Linux:
cd ~On Windows PowerShell:
cd $HOMEThen try the clone command again.
You probably already downloaded the starter.
Do not clone it again.
Windows:
cd $HOME\technocore-did-startermacOS/Linux:
cd ~/technocore-did-starterThen activate the existing environment.
Run:
Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope Process -ExecutionPolicy BypassThen retry:
.\.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1The guide cannot recover it for you.
Your passphrase protects your encrypted identity.
Do not send your identity.pem to strangers offering to recover it.
did:key:z6Mk...
identity.pem
Your identity passphrase
Your DID is meant to be public.
Your private identity is not.
And remember: this process documents participation in Technocore. It does not guarantee any $FLOP reward or allocation.
