Related Issues

Integrated Circuits (ICs) are essential building blocks in electronic circuit design. Adding these subcircuits to eSim expands the available component library, enabling users to accurately simulate and analyze circuits using these ICs.

Purpose

This PR adds 6 new subcircuit components to library/subcircuitLibrary/, each in a separate commit:

IC Description
LM137 3-Terminal Adjustable Negative Voltage Regulator (-1.25V to -37V, 1.5A)
LM3909 Monolithic LED Flasher / Oscillator IC
MC7800 3-Terminal Positive Voltage Regulator Series
SN55451B Dual Peripheral AND Driver (TTL Logic)
SN55452B Dual Peripheral NAND Driver (TTL Logic)
TLC2252 Advanced LinCMOS Rail-to-Rail Dual Operational Amplifier

Files included per component

  • .cir - SPICE netlist
  • .sub - Subcircuit definition
  • .kicad_sch - KiCad schematic
  • .cir.out - Simulation output
  • *_Previous_Values.xml - eSim project metadata
  • analysis - Simulation analysis configuration
  • Model library files (.lib)

Approach

For each IC, the subcircuit schematic was designed based on datasheet specifications from manufacturers (Texas Instruments, ON Semiconductor, etc.) and tested using NgSpice simulations within eSim. Output waveforms were verified against expected datasheet performance.
