M2 core (stacked on #4).

  • Concurrent sub-agent cap (default 4, RAKIT_MAX_SUBAGENTS) with a 30s acquire timeout.
  • Configurable delegation depth (default 3, RAKIT_MAX_SUBAGENT_DEPTH).
  • agent:subagent_update events on spawn and completion; slots release on child finish.

Remaining M2 work (separate PRs): durable background-task registry, cron re-arm/persistence, steering queue/interrupt modes, goal-mode CLI, JSON-Schema subagent output validation.

- concurrent sub-agent cap (default 4, RAKIT_MAX_SUBAGENTS) with a 30s
  acquire timeout; slots release when the child turn finishes
- configurable delegation depth (default 3, RAKIT_MAX_SUBAGENT_DEPTH)
- emit agent:subagent_update on spawn and completion
- update the recursion guard test for the new depth default

- background task registry persists to <home>/background_tasks.json;
  tasks running at exit are marked "lost" with their log intact
- schedules persist to <home>/schedules.json and are re-armed on startup
- 5-field cron parser (*, */n, a-b, lists) with recurring re-arm; missed
  one-shot timers fire on restore
- steering modes: SteerMessage (interrupt) vs SteerMessageQueued; TUI /queue
- tests: cron next-time, invalid cron, background restore
