Export your Scalable Capital transactions to CSV files for LibreFolio: the broker account and the overnight account (conto deposito, Tagesgeld), on every plan, FREE included.
- 🔒 Runs only in your browser: no server, no credentials, no data sent anywhere.
- 🧪 Early release, installed by hand.
- 🤝 Not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Scalable Capital.
Chrome, Edge, Brave or another Chromium browser, version 120 or later. Install the extension only from this repository's releases.
-
Download both files of the latest release,
librefolio-exporter-<version>.zipandlibrefolio-exporter-<version>.zip.sha256, into the same folder: we suggestDownloads/chromePlugin. If the browser saves them inDownloads, move both there. -
Check the ZIP. The
.sha256file is one line: the ZIP's fingerprint, then its name. The command reads that line, looks for the ZIP with that name in the folder the terminal is in, computes its fingerprint and compares the two. That is why both files must be in the same folder, and why the commands start by going there (cd).🍎 macOS, in the Terminal app
cd ~/Downloads/chromePlugin shasum -a 256 -c librefolio-exporter-*.zip.sha256
The answer is one line per ZIP, for example
librefolio-exporter-1.0.0.zip: OK. The*stands for the version: each ZIP of the folder that has its.sha256is checked.🐧 Linux, in a terminal
cd ~/Downloads/chromePlugin sha256sum -c librefolio-exporter-*.zip.sha256
The answer is one line per ZIP, for example
librefolio-exporter-1.0.0.zip: OK. The*stands for the version: each ZIP of the folder that has its.sha256is checked.🪟 Windows, in PowerShell
cd $HOME\Downloads\chromePlugin Get-ChildItem librefolio-exporter-*.zip | ForEach-Object { $expected = (Get-Content "$($_.FullName).sha256").Split(' ')[0] "$($_.Name): $((Get-FileHash $_.FullName -Algorithm SHA256).Hash -eq $expected)" }
Windows has no command that reads
.sha256files, so this one does it step by step: for each ZIP of the folder, it reads the fingerprint in its.sha256and compares it with the ZIP's own. The answer is one line per ZIP, for examplelibrefolio-exporter-1.0.0.zip: True.OK(Trueon Windows) means the ZIP is exactly the one published here. Anything else, such asFAILED,Falseor a missing file: don't install it, and download both files again. -
Unzip the ZIP in that folder: you get the
librefolio-exporterfolder. Chrome loads the extension from it every time, so don't move or delete it afterwards. -
Open
chrome://extensions(edge://extensionsin Edge) and turn on Developer mode, top right: -
Click Load unpacked and choose the
librefolio-exporterfolder. The extension appears in the list:The ID changes from one computer to another: it depends on the folder.
To install a new version later, see Update.
- Log in to Scalable Capital: the LibreFolio button appears in the bottom-right corner of every page.
- Click it, choose the accounts and the period, and click Export CSV.
- Choose where to save in Chrome's Save as window: any folder.
The two accounts are read side by side, each with its row of progress. With both accounts you get one ZIP holding the two CSV files: double-click it to extract them. With one account you get its CSV file. At the end each row says how many transactions were read, and below them come the saved file, its folder and Show folder, which opens the folder.
From left: ready to export; while exporting, with the choices locked and one row per account; done, with what was read, the file and its folder.
The first export reads the whole history. The next ones start from the last export (Since last), so only new transactions are read.
Each account has its CSV file, scalable-broker_<date>_<time>.csv and
scalable-deposit_<date>_<time>.csv, with the columns of Scalable's official export
(format); with both accounts they come together in
scalable_<date>_<time>.zip. Import the files into LibreFolio: one broker for the broker
account, one for the overnight account, as the
import guide shows.
The top of the panel tells you when a new version is out. To install it:
- Download the new ZIP and its
.sha256from the latest release into the same folder as before, for exampleDownloads/chromePlugin, and check it as at installation. - Unzip it there, replacing the old
librefolio-exporterfolder. - Open
chrome://extensionsand click the reload button ⟳ on the LibreFolio Exporter card (bottom right in the picture above). - Reload the Scalable pages you have open (Cmd+R on macOS, F5 elsewhere): until then they keep the old version, and its panel asks you to reload.
Your settings and the dates of the last exports stay, as long as the folder stays the
same: Chrome knows the extension by its folder. A copy loaded from another folder is a
second extension, starting from scratch, and both put their button on the Scalable
pages: keep one, and turn the other off or remove it in chrome://extensions. Removing
an extension loaded this way does not delete its folder.
- 🔒 Privacy: your data stays in your browser and on your computer. The only other request is the update check to GitHub. Details in PRIVACY.md.
⚠️ Risks: the extension uses the web app's internal interface, which Scalable can change at any time, and Scalable's terms allow it to block access when it suspects that programs are being used. The extension is built for light use: read docs/RISKS.md before using it.
- How it works: accounts, period, saving, update check, permissions, diagnostics.
- CSV format of the Scalable Capital files.
- Development: tests, structure, release.
