[Question] SideStore cellular refresh requirements and "No wifi interface satisfied" error

Hello SideStore Team,

First of all, thank you very much for your continuous development and maintenance of SideStore. We really appreciate your hard work and dedication to the community.

I would like to ask a question regarding refreshing apps using SideStore. Are there any specific prerequisites or requirements to perform an app refresh while on a cellular network (without an active Wi-Fi connection)?

I recently encountered the following error when attempting to refresh/operate while connected via cellular data:

Operation Failed
Network Connection Error:
No wifi interface satisfied

Please connect to Wi-Fi before attempting further operations.

Does SideStore fundamentally require a Wi-Fi interface (alongside LocalDevVPN / pairing file) to communicate with the pairing/minimuxer service, or is there a way to bypass or satisfy this check on cellular?

Any clarification or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for your amazing work!

Environment:

  • Device: iPhone 17 Pro
  • OS: iOS 27 RC
  • Setup: LiveContainer + SideStore
  • LC Version: LC 3.8.9-Release (main/3afa9eb)
  • SS Version: SS 0.6.4-20260909.481+b02741ce
