I was playing around with adding the verbose flag to the curl lib, via the passed options, but couldn't get it to work quiet right (probably due to my lack of php experience). Anyhow... I thought this might be a useful feature. If no one else gets to it, I'll probably get back to monkeying around with it at some point.
