This page says the IME checks for new or updated installations every 8 hours. The Win32 app page says the agent checks every hour for new Win32 app assignments. It looks like the two sentences are describing different things.
Going back through the history of this line:
dcf9c18b(April 17, 2025) added it as "checks for new or updated scripts with Intune services usually every 8 hours".496aab40(April 21, 2025) changed "scripts" to "installations".41df81ceand5bbe35a6then dropped the "usually".The same sentence is still live on the macOS agent page, scoped to scripts.
The 8 hour figure also matches what the Remediations page documents for script retrieval, so this change just puts the scope and the hedge back.
Happy to adjust if I'm reading it wrong.
