Displays a number above certain foods to indicate how many portions are left for serving. Works for Base game foods & modded ones.
- KitchenLib: Required for mod loading and base functionality.
- PreferenceSystem (Temp 1.5 fix): Required for the options menu. Use the updated fix version to prevent game crash issues on PlateUp! v1.5+.
- PlatePatch: Highly Recommended / Required for Multiplayer. Fixes native PlateUp networking to allow modded components (like counters) to sync to clients.
As of PlateUp! 1.3.0, the game shifted to strict AOT (Ahead-of-Time) compilation and native Networking to support cross-platform play.
This mod has been updated to use the new native ECS multiplayer architecture:
- Custom data is synchronized via
IModComponentstructs (CCountUpApplianceandCCountUpItem). - These components are placed in the
Kitchennamespace and use[MessagePackObject]attributes so the networking engine recognizes and synchronizes them to all clients. - Host Identity logic is managed by
NetworkingUtils.IsHost()which utilizes snapshots of the network peer list. This ensures that only the host populates shared components. - View systems are unrestricted to ensure local UI updates on all machines, while the underlying data is host-authoritative.
- Menu registration now uses
PreferenceSystem
- v2.1.3 Update: Programmatically resolved overlapping counts and colorblind labels. Restored standard native portion icons and added preference menu options:
"Hide Portion Icons For Infinitely Portionable Items": Toggles portion icons on infinite items."Show Counts For Colorblind Providers": Displays provider counts for colorblind items (like Ketchup and Chocolate Syrup) shifted dynamically to the right to avoid overlapping colorblind text.
- v2.1.2 Update: Recompiled against the latest game assemblies to fix a
MissingMethodExceptiononIObjectView.GetSubView<T>()during multiplayer sessions, which previously caused massive frame rate drops for clients. Now fully compatible with PlateUp! v1.5+.
