The app is a PowerShell + Windows Forms script (app/DnsProfileManager.ps1). It uses the built-in Get-DnsClientServerAddress and Set-DnsClientServerAddress cmdlets. Profiles are stored in %APPDATA%\DnsProfileManager\profiles.json. Nothing runs in the background after you close the window, and the DNS setting you applied stays in Windows until you disconnect.
Install Inno Setup 6.3+, open DnsProfileManager.iss, and press Compile. The installer is created in output/.
Right-click app/DnsProfileManager.ps1 > Run with PowerShell.
The original script was written with the help of ChatGPT (OpenAI). The installer, icon, Edit feature, and packaging were built with the help of Claude (Anthropic).
