Status: experimental draft — storage-only, mirror of PR #648 (triathlon model storage).
What changed
lib/data/hyrox_plan.dart — pure-Dart frozen plan, versioned JSON (v: 1); wrong-typed fields parse to null without throwing; validate() returns a human-readable problem or null. Presets: hyrox (fixed 8 stations), hyrox_doubles, hyrox_training / custom (free-form).
lib/data/hyrox_store.dart — hyrox_session + hyrox_segment tables at schema rung 61 (60 is claimed by feat(triathlon): model and storage foundation #648; 59 by db: reunite rows stranded under a dead device_id (schema 59) #537). Same invariants as feat(triathlon): model and storage foundation #648: finalized = immutable (every write throws HyroxWriteError); started segments form a prefix, max one open segment, monotonic boundaries, no overlaps; gaps are PAUSES (totalSec vs movingSec/pauseSec). Same ops: create (armed only, no history), startSegment, transitionSegment, finishSegment, adjustBoundary (stamps manual both sides), adjustStart (only while nothing ended & no workout linked), removeBoundary (refuses workout-linked / started tail), linkWorkout (null-check fromRow, refuses dupes, verifies row count), finalize (finished, or abandoned/DNF with exactly one open cut segment and null duration; never-started → refused), applyOfflineBoundariesInTx (one transaction, rejects trailing/impossible boundaries).
lib/state/hyrox_reconciler.dart — same burst rule as feat(triathlon): model and storage foundation #648: ≥3 double-taps (event 14) within 6 s, anchored on the FIRST tap (chained 0/6/12 s does NOT count); ±120 s clock-drift tolerance on read only; per-station minimum-duration floors; ignores sessions neither armed nor active; never touches finalized.
lib/data/db.dart + lib/data/recent_slice.dart — migration rung oldV < 61, day delete/export with segment-overlap selection (OPEN segments of FINALIZED sessions bounded by COALESCE(session.end_ts, session.start_ts); live sessions keep open-overlap), ids read before delete, day delete cascades linked workouts (workout_route/split, session_sensor, strength_set, sessions) in the same txn, IN (...) chunked via _sqlVarChunks, restore protects discarded and compares updated_at, salvage + recent_slice registration.
One segment per round (decided once, documented in hyrox_plan.dart): kind hyrox_round with round_index 1..8 and a station field (skierg, sled_push, sled_pull, burpee_broad_jump, rowing, farmers_carry, sandbag_lunges, wall_balls). The interleaved 1 km runs are NOT separate segments; round 8's segment runs to the finish line and includes the final 1 km run. The 16-segment run↔station alternative was rejected to keep exactly eight tap boundaries for eight rounds.
No per-segment environment field: HYROX is an indoor arena event end to end, so needsGps is always false (unlike triathlon).
Planned targets are plans, never measurements: per-round planned_distance_m / planned_reps / planned_cal (skierg & rowing: 1000 m or 50 cal, configurable) + optional goal_sec; distance_m requires distance_source.
No UI, no haptics, no live-tap wiring. The reconciler is implemented and tested but has no production caller yet — wiring it into the sync path is a follow-up PR.
Verification performed vs pending
Performed locally (sandbox has no Flutter SDK):
Every new SQL statement executed against the real DDL extracted from hyrox_store.dart in SQLite (python3 sqlite3): closed, open, live open-overlap, cross-midnight, finalized-DNF (correctly does NOT match later days), day-delete + linked-workout cascade, and the store CRUD statement shapes — all pass.
A Python mirror of the reconciler burst/floor rules over the test scenarios (burst anchoring, chained 0/6/12 rejection, floors, idempotence) — passes.
Brace/paren balance and structure checks over all touched files; kAlgoVersion confirmed untouched.
Full flutter test --concurrency=1 suite: first run exposed 2 failures in the new day-export tests (missing PathProviderPlatform fake — fixed in bf556cfe); re-run in progress at time of writing.
Pending: final green CI run on the test job.
Known open items
Reconciler production caller (follow-up PR).
Retention of band_events through a multi-hour race is unmeasured on hardware.
Clock domain: strap RTC vs phone clock (±120 s read tolerance on read only).
Interrupted-restore behavior for hyrox rows follows the existing salvage path; dedicated tests are in the suite. PR_BODY)

PR gegen OpenStrap/edge anlegen (braucht Write-Rechte auf das Repo):
Add experimental storage and offline reconciliation support for HYROX sessions without introducing UI or live tap wiring.
New Features:
Add versioned HYROX race and training plans with fixed-race presets, custom segments, validation, and resilient JSON parsing.
Add HYROX session and round-segment storage with lifecycle management, boundary editing, workout linking, pause accounting, DNF finalization, and finalized-record immutability.
Add offline reconciliation of strap double-tap bursts into validated HYROX round boundaries.
Bug Fixes:
Include HYROX sessions and segments consistently in day export, deletion, cross-midnight overlap handling, restore protection, salvage, and recent-data slicing.
Enhancements:
Extend the database schema and migration ladder for HYROX storage and reconciliation metadata.
Add atomic timeline validation and correction paths that prevent overlaps, invalid ordering, duplicate links, and accidental boundary re-creation.
Mirror of the triathlon storage PR (OpenStrap#648) for HYROX, storage-only:
- lib/data/hyrox_plan.dart: frozen versioned plan (v:1), one segment per
round (kind hyrox_round, station, round_index 1..8), presets hyrox /
hyrox_doubles / hyrox_training / custom, strict validate(), wrong-typed
JSON fields parse to null without throwing.
- lib/data/hyrox_store.dart: hyrox_session + hyrox_segment tables (rung 61;
60 is taken by OpenStrap#648), finalized = immutable, started-prefix/monotonic/
no-overlap timeline with gaps as pauses (totalSec vs movingSec/pauseSec),
create/startSegment/transitionSegment/finishSegment/adjustBoundary/
adjustStart/removeBoundary/linkWorkout/finalize (incl. DNF)/
applyOfflineBoundariesInTx, all SQL bound-params only.
- lib/state/hyrox_reconciler.dart: offline burst rule (>=3 double-taps in 6s
anchored on the first tap, chained 0/6/12 does not count), per-station
minimum-duration floors, +/-120s clock-drift tolerance on read, never
touches finalized sessions; no production caller yet (follow-up PR).
- lib/data/db.dart + recent_slice.dart: migration rung 61, day delete/export
with segment-overlap selection (open segments of finalized sessions
bounded by COALESCE(end_ts, start_ts)), chunked IN via _sqlVarChunks,
linked-workout cascade in the same txn, restore protects discarded and
updated_at-compares, salvage + recent_slice registration.
- test/hyrox_model_storage_test.dart: model validation, lifecycle, timeline,
DNF, cross-midnight delete/export, restore, reconciler bursts/floors,
correction refusal paths.
kAlgoVersion unchanged; no UI/haptics/live-tap wiring in this PR.
flutter analyze / flutter test have NOT run (no Flutter SDK in the
sandbox); CI must verify.

This draft establishes HYROX model and storage foundations at schema rung 61: immutable, versioned round plans are persisted in transactional session/segment tables, integrated with database migration and backup flows, and reconstructed from validated band tap bursts, with extensive invariant and lifecycle tests. Review the timeline/state-machine rules, cross-midnight row selection and restore protection, and the explicit absence of a production reconciler caller; final full CI is still pending.

This storage-only change is not wired to any UI. Two defects should still be fixed before merge. Restoring an older backup can overwrite newer HYROX segment data even when the local race is kept. A day privacy delete or export can miss a cut-off race whose cut segment starts on the following day. A third, narrower defect: removing the boundary before a closed final segment leaves a finished race that cannot be completed.

Make the HYROX day window match a DNF cut segment on the day it starts.
The comments at Lines 11169-11174 and Lines 10956-10957 say that a race belongs to a day when one of its segments starts that day. The open-segment branch does not follow that rule for a finalized race. It requires COALESCE(s.end_ts, s.start_ts, 0) > endSec. For an abandoned (DNF) race, session.end_ts is the end of the last closed segment. That value is at or before the open cut segment's start.
Trigger: a DNF race crosses midnight, and the cut segment starts after midnight. When the user deletes the second day, the cut segment matches no branch. The closed segments end on the previous day, the session starts on the previous day, and the open branch fails the > endSec test. The race stays on disk after a privacy delete. exportDaysDb leaves out the same race from that day's export. The same predicate is duplicated at Lines 10961-10970.
Fix: also match any segment whose start_ts is inside the window. Put the predicate in one shared constant so the export and delete paths cannot drift apart.
🔒️ Proposed fix (apply to both copies, or extract one constant)
'UNION SELECT session_id FROM hyrox_segment '
'WHERE start_ts IS NOT NULL AND start_ts < ? '
- 'AND ( (end_ts IS NOT NULL AND end_ts > ?) '+ 'AND ( start_ts >= ? '+ ' OR (end_ts IS NOT NULL AND end_ts > ?) '
' OR (end_ts IS NULL AND start_ts < ? '
Update the argument lists to [startSec, endSec, endSec, startSec, startSec, endSec, endSec].

Update the HYROX day-window predicate used by exportDaysDb and the delete path
so an open segment matches when its start_ts falls within the window, including
for finalized DNF races. Put the predicate in one shared constant so both paths
stay aligned, and update each query’s bound arguments to match the revised
placeholders.

Protect imported segment rows when the parent session row is skipped.
The restore loop skips an imported hyrox_session row when the local row has an equal or newer updated_at (isHyroxProtected(id, row)). For hyrox_segment rows, the code calls isHyroxProtected(sessionId, null). With row == null, the function returns true only for locally discarded races. As a result, a skipped parent never protects its segments.
Trigger: the user restores an older backup over a race that exists locally and has newer boundaries, or that is already finalized. The local hyrox_session row is kept. INSERT OR REPLACE then overwrites every hyrox_segment row with the older boundaries. The parent's start_ts, end_ts, status and finalized_at then disagree with its segments. For a finalized race, this rewrites a record that HyroxDb treats as immutable. The comment at Line 11837 says segments follow their parent's verdict, and the code does not do that.
Fix: record each session id that the merge skips, and check that set for segment rows. hyrox_session is merged before hyrox_segment in _restoreTables, so the set is complete before the segment pass starts. Also protect the segments when the backup carries segments for a local race but has no session row for it.
🐛 Proposed fix
if (t == 'hyrox_session' &&
isHyroxProtected('${row['id']}', row)) {
+ skippedHyrox.add('${row['id']}');
continue; // locally discarded, or newer than the snapshot
}
if (t == 'hyrox_segment' &&
- isHyroxProtected('${row['session_id']}', null)) {+ (isHyroxProtected('${row['session_id']}', null) ||+ skippedHyrox.contains('${row['session_id']}'))) {
continue;
}
Declare final skippedHyrox = <String>{}; beside protectedHyrox (around Line 11838).

Update the restore merge flow around `isHyroxProtected` to track session IDs
whose `hyrox_session` rows are skipped, then skip matching `hyrox_segment` rows
using that set. Also protect segments for locally existing races when the backup
contains segments but no corresponding session row; preserve the existing

Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Refuse to merge into the final segment of a finished session, or reset its status.
removeBoundary does not recompute status. Consider a session with status finished where idx + 1 is the final segment. The merge closes segment idx at the final end and clears the final segment. The session stays finished, but its last segment is now unstarted, and no write can progress the race:
finishSegment needs exactly one open segment, and there is none.
transitionSegment needs an open current segment.
finalize for finished rejects the unstarted last segment.
The only exit is to relabel the race as abandoned with updateSession, which records a finished race as a DNF.
Fix: reject the merge when right is the last segment and right.endTs != null. As an alternative, define a state for this case and pass an explicit status to _recomputeSessionBounds.

'a segment is linked to a workout — unlink it before removing the boundary',
);
}
+ if (right.idx == segs.length - 1 && right.endTs != null) {+ throw HyroxWriteError(+ 'the final segment is closed — move the boundary instead of removing it',+ );+ }

1. Day window (export + delete): a finalized DNF whose open cut segment
STARTS on the later day now matches that day via a new start_ts >= ?
branch; predicate extracted into shared _hyroxInWindowSql so export and
delete cannot drift apart (7 bound args).
2. Restore: session ids whose imported hyrox_session row is skipped
(discarded or locally newer) are recorded in skippedHyrox, and
hyrox_segment rows of those parents are skipped too — an older backup
can no longer overwrite the segments of a newer local race.
3. removeBoundary refuses to merge into a closed final segment (would leave
a finished session with an unstarted last segment and no legal exit).
Regression tests added for all three paths.

Fork PR
Branch
Scope
edge-copy#12
feat/hyrox-reconciler-caller
Offline reconciler wired into the sync path (AppState._onDataStored): rebuilds the active session's round boundaries from stored band taps after every durable persist. Idempotent, finalized/discarded never touched.
edge-copy#13
feat/hyrox-live-taps
Live tracking while connected: double-tap bursts (event 14, >=3 taps in 6 s anchored on the first, chained 0/6/12 s rejected, per-station floors) close rounds in real time via startSegment/transitionSegment/finishSegment, stamped gesture. Live path only, never the headless drain.
edge-copy#14
feat/hyrox-workout-banking
Every closed round is banked as a sessions row and linked (workout_id), so zones/splits/analytics and Apple Health export (existing sessions path) see each round. Idempotent; day-delete cascade already covered here.
edge-copy#15
feat/hyrox-ui
First UI: arm presets, live round list with total/moving/pause, per-round post-hoc corrections (adjustBoundary/removeBoundary/adjustStart), DNF/discard/save. Entry: Activity tab → HYROX card; route /hyrox.
Deliberately deferred: haptics/vibration feedback on the band (lowest priority), and a
full time-picker for boundary corrections (screen currently offers −60 s move + merge).
Verification: storage branch CI is green (flutter analyze + full flutter test);
CodeRabbit findings on #663 (DNF cross-midnight day window, restore protection of skipped
parents' segments, removeBoundary into closed final segment) are fixed in 848298a3.
Follow-up branches carry per-step sqflite_ffi tests; their CI runs on the fork.
Note: PRs #12–#15 need a rebase onto main once #663 merges (they are stacked on the
feature branch, not on main). EOF

- db.dart: live open segments now match a day window only when the session
was written at/after the window start (updated_at ms >= startSec*1000);
finalized races keep the COALESCE end-time bound. 7 placeholders kept,
7th argument is startSec at both call sites.

kHyroxPlanVersion.
- hyrox_store.dart: create rejects a session whose preset does not match
the validated plan's preset; byId/_withSegments accept DatabaseExecutor
so the reconciler can read inside its transaction.

inside db.transaction deadlocks); schemaVersion 62 adds
hyrox_session.excluded_taps_json
- hyrox_store.dart: segmentsStrict for all write paths (refuse partial

unlinkWorkout; removeBoundary persists the removed tap anchor
- hyrox_reconciler.dart: excluded taps are filtered before deriveBoundaries

…age branch, guard rung-62 ALTER, completeness check in segmentsStrict
- tap_router.dart: the /hyrox route registration lives only on the UI branch
(the const exists there); remove the dangling entry here (fixes analyze)
- db.dart: rung-62 ALTER TABLE only when excluded_taps_json is actually
missing (fresh rung-61 installs already have it; duplicate column would

Presets:hyrox(fixed 8 stations),hyrox_doubles,hyrox_training/custom(free-form).lib/data/hyrox_store.dart—hyrox_session+hyrox_segmenttables at schema rung 61 (60 is claimed by feat(triathlon): model and storage foundation #648; 59 by db: reunite rows stranded under a dead device_id (schema 59) #537). Same invariants as feat(triathlon): model and storage foundation #648: finalized = immutable (every write throwsHyroxWriteError); started segments form a prefix, max one open segment, monotonic boundaries, no overlaps; gaps are PAUSES (totalSecvsmovingSec/pauseSec). Same ops:create(armed only, no history),startSegment,transitionSegment,finishSegment,adjustBoundary(stampsmanualboth sides),adjustStart(only while nothing ended & no workout linked),removeBoundary(refuses workout-linked / started tail),linkWorkout(null-check fromRow, refuses dupes, verifies row count),finalize(finished, or abandoned/DNF with exactly one open cut segment and null duration; never-started → refused),applyOfflineBoundariesInTx(one transaction, rejects trailing/impossible boundaries).lib/state/hyrox_reconciler.dart— same burst rule as feat(triathlon): model and storage foundation #648: ≥3 double-taps (event 14) within 6 s, anchored on the FIRST tap (chained 0/6/12 s does NOT count); ±120 s clock-drift tolerance on read only; per-station minimum-duration floors; ignores sessions neither armed nor active; never touches finalized.lib/data/db.dart+lib/data/recent_slice.dart— migration rungoldV < 61, day delete/export with segment-overlap selection (OPEN segments of FINALIZED sessions bounded byCOALESCE(session.end_ts, session.start_ts); live sessions keep open-overlap), ids read before delete, day delete cascades linked workouts (workout_route/split, session_sensor, strength_set, sessions) in the same txn,IN (...)chunked via_sqlVarChunks, restore protectsdiscardedand comparesupdated_at, salvage + recent_slice registration.test/hyrox_model_storage_test.dart— model validation, lifecycle, timeline (prefix/overlap/pause), DNF finalize, cross-midnight delete/export, restore round-trip, reconciler bursts/floors/idempotence, adjustStart/removeBoundary/linkWorkout refusal paths.Design decisions
hyrox_plan.dart): kindhyrox_roundwithround_index1..8 and astationfield (skierg,sled_push,sled_pull,burpee_broad_jump,rowing,farmers_carry,sandbag_lunges,wall_balls). The interleaved 1 km runs are NOT separate segments; round 8's segment runs to the finish line and includes the final 1 km run. The 16-segment run↔station alternative was rejected to keep exactly eight tap boundaries for eight rounds.needsGpsis always false (unlike triathlon).planned_distance_m/planned_reps/planned_cal(skierg & rowing: 1000 m or 50 cal, configurable) + optionalgoal_sec;distance_mrequiresdistance_source.mainthat 58 is current and no triathlon tables exist there; 60 belongs to feat(triathlon): model and storage foundation #648.kAlgoVersionunchanged; no existing derived analytics altered. All SQL uses bound params only.Deferred (explicitly out of scope, like #648)
Verification performed vs pending
Performed locally (sandbox has no Flutter SDK):
hyrox_store.dartin SQLite (python3 sqlite3): closed, open, live open-overlap, cross-midnight, finalized-DNF (correctly does NOT match later days), day-delete + linked-workout cascade, and the store CRUD statement shapes — all pass.kAlgoVersionconfirmed untouched.CI (fork PR, branch
feat/hyrox-model-storage):flutter analyzepasses (two analyzer rounds fixed: declaration order, type promotion, fatal info-lints).flutter test --concurrency=1suite: first run exposed 2 failures in the new day-export tests (missingPathProviderPlatformfake — fixed inbf556cfe); re-run in progress at time of writing.Pending: final green CI run on the test job.
