I like infrastructure that is automated, reproducible and understandable.
If something can be scripted, I script it. If it has to be built more than once, I try to make it reproducible. If an existing tool gets in the way, I build the missing layer.
My background started with shell scripting, systems administration and infrastructure operations, and evolved naturally into cloud, IaC, DevOps and software tooling.
