src/shared/audioif_port.h is the whole interface and every hook may be NULL, so a port with no driver already runs the pump in service() mode on the calling thread. A real RP2 driver is thread_start on core 1, the mutex and an I2S (PIO) sink. Nothing has been tried; docs/pump-ports.md is the page to write it from. From #107.
