On the released Android Runner (S21) and in a PyScript/Pyodide PWA, the drum machine opens on TR808 with CLK TIMER! in orange. It prints:
drum_machine: keeping time on the OLD step timer - this kit is not schedulable
The docstring says orange means the pump is in this firmware and didn't take this graph, and that a missing pump shows grey TIMER, "which is not a warning". Here the reason is the kit (inst.schedulable is false, the acoustickit path in _arm_sequencer), not the pump. So a user's first screen shows a warning that nothing is wrong with, on the default kit, on two of the three hosts.
The groove still plays: the step indicator advances on both hosts. The question is only what the label should say. Either the kit case gets its own neutral label (e.g. grey CLK LIVE), or TR808 should be schedulable here and isn't. I haven't checked which; this was seen during the dogfood run, not investigated. Screenshots: docs/screenshots/dogfood-android-drum.png, dogfood-pwa-drum.png (local, uncommitted).
