How do I blur my screen when screen sharing? Operating-system blur tools only blur a whole window. PageVeil works at the element level inside the page, so you can mask a customer name column while the rest of the dashboard stays readable — which is the whole point during a demo.
Does it work on any website? It works on rendered web pages in the browser. Native desktop applications and PDFs opened outside the browser aren't covered.
Do the blurs survive a page refresh? Yes, if you save the rule. Rules are matched by URL, path, or domain, and they re-apply after refresh and after client-side navigation in single-page apps.
Is the underlying data still in the DOM? Yes — PageVeil masks what's rendered, it doesn't strip data from the page. It's built for screen sharing and screenshots, not as a defence against someone with devtools access to your machine.
Can I replace data instead of blurring it? Yes, and for demos it usually looks better. A blurred rectangle tells everyone there's something hidden; a plausible fake name doesn't interrupt the story you're telling.
Does it work with Zoom, Google Meet, Loom and OBS? Yes. PageVeil changes what the page looks like, so anything capturing your screen captures the masked version.
