Instagram shows you a follower count and not much else about anyone but yourself. SuperIns is a Chrome extension that opens in the browser side panel and turns any public Instagram profile into a readable analytics view — engagement rates, top-performing posts and Reels, posting patterns, side-by-side comparison, CSV export. It reads what's publicly visible in your own session. No account connection, no password, no Business account required.

Do I need an Instagram Business or Creator account? No. Instagram's native Insights require one and only cover your own account. SuperIns reads public profile content, so it works on any account you can view in a browser — including competitors.
Does it work on private accounts? No. It only reads what is publicly visible in your session. It does not bypass privacy settings, and it never will — that's a boundary, not a missing feature.
How is engagement rate calculated? Interactions on a post measured against follower count, computed per post and averaged across the loaded set. Because it's derived from public numbers, it's directly comparable across accounts, which the native Insights aren't.
Do I have to give it my password? No. There is no login screen. The extension operates in the session you already have open in Chrome.
Is this against Instagram's terms? SuperIns displays and organises content already rendered in your browser. It doesn't automate posting, following, liking, or messaging, and it doesn't access anything you couldn't see yourself.
Can I export the data? Yes — CSV export for post-level data, plus bulk media download for public Reels and images.
Why a side panel instead of a separate dashboard? Because the research happens while you're already browsing. A separate web app means copying usernames between tabs; the side panel keeps the numbers next to the content they describe.

Instagram changes its front end often. If a profile fails to load or numbers look wrong, include the extension version and a screenshot.
