SGCYB/README.md

Hello!

I'm a cybersecurity student with a strong interest in digital forensics, incident response, security operations, network security, and hardware security.

I learn best by getting hands on with technology, investigating systems, building tools, analyzing artifacts, and occasionally taking hardware apart just to understand what's happening underneath the surface. I've been interested in computers and technology for a long time, and cybersecurity gave me a way to combine that curiosity with investigation and problem solving.

I'm always looking for another system to understand, tool to learn, or rabbit hole to explore.

Early Career Development

Currently

  • Junior at Ferris State University studying Information Security & Intelligence
  • Expected graduation: December 2027
  • Working as an IT Helpdesk Technician since 2025
  • Exploring opportunities in digital forensics, incident response, security operations, and cybersecurity
  • Finding ways to leverage artificial intelligence to automate security workflows

How I Like to Learn

I'm particularly drawn to projects where I can investigate something unfamiliar and work backward to understand how it operates. That might mean examining forensic artifacts, working with security tooling, analyzing network behavior, writing a utility, or interfacing directly with hardware. During my projects, I try to document not only what worked, but also my methodology, assumptions, unsuccessful attempts, and what I learned along the way.

Areas I'm Interested In

Digital Forensics • Incident Response • Security Operations • Network Security • Hardware & Embedded Security • Malware Analysis • IT
