🎓 Bachelor in Information Systems at UFMG 🧠 AI Researcher and Developer at FutureLAB, UFMG 📍 Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais

💡 About me

I'm passionate about developing and optimizing AI systems. I enjoy searching for and reading new papers about novel AI techniques and staying aware of the state of the art in Foundation Models and Generative AI. I'm a beginner 中文 student and I'm in love with Chinese culture and customs. I love cooking Chinese food and I dream about getting the opportunity to visit the country soon, and maybe learn a bit of Shaolin Kung Fu! I also love photography, cats, and watching sci-fi series and movies.

🚀 Current focus

  • Working on agentic AI systems optimization and developing Small Language Models for companies that use conversational models and natural language processing for sales. Did you know it's possible to derive a user's intent from the semantic latent space of the user–model conversation?
  • Deploying sentence-embedding models for semantic analysis and sentiment extraction in chatbot conversations.

  • Faithfulness, fairness and safety in AI systems deployment
  • Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning techniques
