What changes are you making?

Open the prepared Universal Checkout URL directly from a buyer click and show received Checkout Kit events in a slotted overlay. Resource cards and a bounded timeline display status, revision, safe totals and aggregate summaries; shops use generic labels and raw checkout payloads, identifiers, keyed URLs and buyer/order details are excluded.

The page mirrors the event view and provides focus, close and clear controls. Opening a new presentation resets its timeline, clearing events preserves current resource state, and disposal/page restoration keep listeners and pending work consistent.

How to test

From the repository root, with dependencies installed:

The full stack passes 440 Web tests plus lint/typechecks, build and package verification. Overlay tests cover redaction, scoped failures, stale error removal, bounded history, configuration invalidation, close/reopen and cleanup. Open a prepared two-shop session and inspect the overlay as statuses change.

tophat results

On the public-base revision, the browser loaded two shops from ignored environment configuration, loaded both catalogs, created separate carts and prepared a continuation URL. The overlay opened and its close event appeared in the DOM. Removing a shop invalidated the prepared URL; reload restored configured shops with empty carts. This configuration retest did not receive live start/update events in the in-app browser; the earlier live event evidence remains separate.

An earlier live two-shop run displayed received start/update events, generic shop labels and expandable redacted details. Close/reopen was verified separately with fresh events. The short clip demonstrates event rendering only; it does not show session preparation, completion or payment. Live completion and producer errors remain unverified.
