Vessel ASID Player

VAP enables remote access to SID registers over MIDI SysEx messages, using the ASID protocol, which was introduced with the Elektron SIDStation. Any SID player supporting ASID can use this application with Vessel as a C64 hardware sound source.

If you have a second SID installed at $D420, VAP supports accessing it with ASID update messages using command 0x50 (rather than 0x4e).

Build

make builds the PRGs and vap.d64. The only build dependency is a container runtime: the llvm-mos SDK and c1541 (from asid-vice) run from pinned images. Set MOS_CC or C1541 to use host installs instead.
