This reverts commit 22cdf0e so development can resume from the last pre-removal state.
Save the existing root handlers before installing the SLF4J bridge and restore them when the bundle stops. Preserve handlers added by other components while the bridge is active.

I would like to restore the Logback component. I have restored the original source and updated it with Logback 1.5.x, plus some changes I see as beneficial. It works for me in production like this.
