Could not detect currently opened app, do you have an Android device connected and unlocked?

Hey,

I am getting an error that no open app could be found, but:

• I have a device is connected, verifiable via adb
• Other apps are working, just some apps aren't
• I tried on multiple devices for the app I am currently working on I can't test it with flashlight (with any device I get the error message

What could cause an app to be not detectable?
