Great book, nicely formatted, very clear, and easy to understand. Just great!
However, there are some missing parts like:
- multistage builds
- best practices (building, docker-compose dev/prod, storage/volume types/bind mounts, improving performance, better caching, reducing image size, etc...)
- security (passing build args, using secrets, etc...)
- networking
- common mistakes (layer ordering, unnecessary dependencies, etc..)
- real live CI/CD pipelines (Github actions, GitLab?)
- docker swarm
I know some of the above topics have been touched but still not enough like for me. Still hungry. 😉
BTW. I think that chapter about Rancher is unnecessary here because Rancher now only supports Kubernetes, and this is a topic for another book 😉
