The npm guide said Yaci Viewer runs at http://localhost:5173. That's the Docker distribution's port. The npm yaci-viewer package is a SvelteKit adapter-node server, so it listens on 3000 unless PORT is set (const port = env('PORT', !path && '3000') in the built server). The Zip guide already says 3000.

Changes in getting-started/npm.mdx:

  • Requirements: the ports list says 3000 for Yaci Viewer instead of 5173.
  • Starting Yaci Viewer: says it runs at http://localhost:3000, and shows PORT=5173 yaci-viewer to match Docker's port, or PORT=5173 in the .env file.
  • Service URLs: Yaci Viewer is http://localhost:3000, or the port set with PORT.

The services page is unchanged: its URL table is labelled "With the default Docker ports", where 5173 is right.

Testing

  • next build passes.
  • Ran the viewer built from applications/viewer (node cli.js): with no PORT the server code defaults to 3000; with PORT=5199 it listened on 5199, and with PORT=5198 in a .env file in the working directory it listened on 5198. I didn't test the published npm package itself.

yaci-viewer is a SvelteKit adapter-node server, which listens on 3000
unless PORT is set. Document the default and how to change it.
