Flake-based NixOS config

Quick start

bash <(curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/caioaao/dotfiles/main/bootstrap.sh)

For the cloud dev instance:

NIXOS_FLAKE_CONFIG=nixos-cloud bash <(curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/caioaao/dotfiles/main/bootstrap.sh)

Key concepts

• Nix/NixOS for global configuration, dependency management
• GNU Stow for user configuration - I don't want to deal with home-manager yet

Update config

NixOS (laptop)

sudo nixos-rebuild switch --flake .#nixos

NixOS (cloud dev)

sudo nixos-rebuild switch --flake .#nixos-cloud

MacOS

sudo darwin-rebuild switch --flake .#darwin

Upgrading nix

Run nix flake update. Then run the rebuild command specific to the platform.
