↩ Change 0543 — Cursor section of the Bash upgrade guide, proven on the saved cases

The Bash upgrade guide now covers Claude Code and Cursor in one flow. Before, it covered Claude Code only. The saved-case integration test runs the guide through both harnesses on the saved v0.9.2 and v0.9.3 installs.

  • docs/release/upgrading-from-bash.md:
    • The installer line is pinned to v1.0.0-alpha.2 and names both harnesses.
    • New runnable steps: cursor-takeover-remedy and choose-harnesses (configure-harnesses --harnesses claude,cursor).
    • Section 7 now covers Cursor leftovers and the sandbox note, and section 8 says to restart both harnesses.
  • internal/bashupgrade: the test checks the Cursor conflicts on each saved case. It also checks that no user-level rule is left, that install check is clean for both harnesses, that nothing under ~/.cursor links into the old checkout, and that the repository rule is written. Every new guard was mutation-checked.

No product code changes.

Review (standard tier)

# Severity Finding Disposition
1 minor The guide said the v0.9.2 installer removes the user rule itself, but the reader's rm -f deletes it first fixed (972c142)
2 minor The section 7 leftovers claim did not hold for a reader who skips one harness fixed (5669d3d)
3 minor Over-long doc-comment line in installHandoff fixed (5669d3d)

…lock deletes it (review finding: the guide claims the installer removes the rule itself, but the first install fails and the block's rm -f deletes it first)
- section 7: say that a harness skipped in section 4 keeps its Bash links
under ~/.claude or ~/.cursor, and point to that harness's rm lines
- registry_test.go: re-flow the installHandoff doc comment to the column limit
