Code Paste Blocker

A Chrome/Edge extension that blocks code pasting on LeetCode and GeeksforGeeks to encourage learning through writing code yourself!

Installation

From Chrome Web Store (Coming Soon)

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store
  2. Search for "Code Paste Blocker"
  3. Click "Add to Chrome"

Manual Installation

Option 1: Clone from GitHub

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/divyanshsingh07/CopyPasteBlocker.git

# Navigate to the extension directory
cd CopyPasteBlocker

Option 2: Download and Install

  1. Download the extension files from GitHub
  2. Open Chrome/Edge and go to chrome://extensions/ (or edge://extensions/)
  3. Enable "Developer mode" (toggle in top right)
  4. Click "Load unpacked"
  5. Select the downloaded extension folder

Usage

  1. The extension is enabled by default
  2. Visit any LeetCode or GeeksforGeeks problem page
  3. Try to paste code - you'll see a friendly message instead
  4. Click the extension icon to toggle blocking on/off

Privacy

This extension:

  • Only runs on LeetCode and GeeksforGeeks problem pages
