Full-stack engineer, 17 years. Ruby on Rails (a few patches merged) and modern JavaScript, with the backend as home turf: architecture, real-time, APIs.
Postgres is the first love. MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Meilisearch when the job calls for them - whatever the business actually needs, deployment pipeline included.
I ship MVPs fast without leaving a mess behind. Code that is fast, tested, and readable by whoever comes next.
I use Claude Code, Codex, and local models every day. They write plenty of code; someone still has to read it. So I review my colleagues' work carefully and take responsibility for what ships. In the AI era, that is the whole job.
Open source is where I learn. I watch GitHub for what's new, dig into other people's source for fun, and come back with patterns worth keeping.
Off the keyboard: a husband and a father, happiest outdoors. Planted a house, built a tree, now raising the kids - the order got mixed up somewhere.
