Hi, I'm Fabien 👋

Software engineer with an embedded-systems background, currently shipping a mobile product on my own.

🗺️ Exploratour — built and shipped solo

Gamified guided tours and treasure hunts for cities: geolocated steps, audio, photo challenges. Live on both stores since 2026.

How it was built End-to-end by one person, with LLM coding agents as a daily workflow

The code is private (commercial product), but the case study covers the architecture, the offline pack pipeline, the backend rules and what was harder than expected. Happy to walk through the code in a call.

🔧 Public code

  • vie-watcher — bot that watches the official VIE job board and pings me on Telegram when a matching offer appears. Selenium scraper, SQLite dedup, GitHub Actions cron, tests. Zero infrastructure.
  • cv-tailor — template for tailoring a CV to each job offer with an AI assistant. Facts live in one YAML file, framing lives in a per-application overlay, and the build refuses a line with no source, a skill listed as a gap, or a page with no margin left at the bottom. Python / ReportLab, GitHub Actions.

🎓 School project

SUB-Explorer — unmanned underwater vehicle, final-year engineering project at ESME Sudria (team of 3, 6 months). My part: PCB design and routing, embedded programming, 3D printing and mechanical assembly. Finalist, ESME best engineering projects. Repo, maintained by a teammate.

💼 Day job

Embedded software & systems engineering consultant: ECU integration and release management on an automotive powertrain program, embedded development on Linux/Android payment terminals for a US client, test-bench software for aerospace equipment. Safety-critical mindset (ISO 26262, DO-178C exposure).
