Serve speed, from the radar to your video.
RadarStudio is a Windows app that reads the Pocket Radar Smart Coach on your computer and actually does something with the number: it shows the speed, saves it, drops it into your scout (DataVolley or VolleyStation), and puts it on the broadcast. Made for volleyball.
Plug the radar in, open the app, and you're set — every serve's speed shows up on screen, goes to the big screen or your footage, gets logged, and lands in your scout automatically after the match. Nothing to install beyond the app itself; it runs locally in your browser.
Get the latest version from the Releases page, run it, and go.
You'll need a Pocket Radar Smart Coach — RadarStudio is the software that reads it, not the radar.
- Reads the radar three ways — plug it in over USB, connect over Bluetooth, or take it from a second PC at the court over the network.
- Puts the speed on screen — a big live number for the gym or TV, eight display layouts, a needle gauge, fullscreen and a floating pop-up. You pick the colors, the unit (km/h or mph) and a target speed.
- Marks serves with a key — tap
Sand it grabs that serve's speed, even while you're typing in your scout. - Keeps the history — every reading is saved, filterable by date, exportable to CSV, and backed up on its own.
- Feeds your scout — hand it a
.dvw(DataVolley) or.vsm(VolleyStation) and get it back with each serve's speed written into the CUSTOM field, matched by time. By the end of the match your scout already has the speeds. (VolleyStation support is new and still being improved.) - Checks it on video — jump straight to any serve in the game footage, with an offset you can fine-tune.
- Goes on the broadcast — a transparent overlay for OBS, plus a clean scoreboard you open on a phone or tablet over Wi-Fi.
- Windows 10 or 11
- A Pocket Radar Smart Coach
- Bluetooth for the wireless connection (USB works too)
The app tells you when a new version is out and you can also check any time from the About tab. New releases land here.
