Reverts squash merge 2fa5c83 from #16.

Why

#16 was merged with --admin while Cursor Bugbot Autofix was still running. Bugbot reported a high-severity release workflow mismatch (homebrew_casks vs Formula/git-rain.rb gate) that was not addressed before merge.

• Re-open Disable interactive git credential prompts on fetch operations #16 (branch fix/non-interactive-git-network preserved at 3983ecb)
• Let Bugbot Autofix land the Homebrew gate fix
