…ker build The 0.3.0 release polled https://pypi.org/pypi/lightapi/<version>/json, which answered minutes before the simple index listed the files, so the inline Docker build's pip install found no 0.3.0 and the release notes and GitHub release steps were skipped. The wait step now greps the wheel's name on https://pypi.org/simple/lightapi/, with up to ten minutes of patience instead of five.

from_dict was deprecated in 0.2.0 and its warning promised removal in 0.3.0, but 0.3.0 shipped with it. Nothing in the README, docs examples or examples/ uses it; the loader had untested branches (68% coverage). Removed: LightApi.from_dict, lightapi/_dict_config_loader.py (DictConfig, DictAuthKind), the deprecation tests, the B1-001 pin test (only reachable through from_dict) and the from_dict signature in tests/data/public_api.json. Docs, diagram and CHANGELOG updated; the audit rows A7-001 and B1-001 note the removal.
refactor!: remove LightApi.from_dict (deprecated since 0.2.0)
test-dev.yml listened for a branch named development, which does not exist, so PRs into dev ran no tests and the release PR into master was the first place CI saw new code.
ci: run tests on PRs into dev
pyproject.toml 0.3.0 to 0.4.0, uv.lock and the chart's appVersion follow, CHANGELOG's Unreleased block becomes [0.4.0] - 2026-10-13. A minor version because LightApi.from_dict is gone (#65), which breaks anyone still calling it.
