Repository files navigation

inimah.github.io

Personal academic homepage of Iftitahu Ni'mah, built with Vite + React.

Editing content

All content (bio, research interests, publications, talks, teaching, service, CV) lives in src/data/profile.js. Add or edit entries there; the components render whatever the data file contains. The "Recent highlights" list is derived automatically from the newest publications and talks.

The profile photo is public/images/profile.png.

Publishing changes

Every push to master triggers the Deploy to GitHub Pages workflow (.github/workflows/deploy.yml), which installs dependencies, runs npm run build and publishes the result. You can therefore edit src/data/profile.js directly on github.com and commit — the live site updates a minute or two later. Progress and any build errors are shown in the repository's Actions tab.

One-time setup: Settings → Pages → Build and deployment → Source: GitHub Actions.

The build output (docs/) is not committed; it is generated by the workflow.

Old Jekyll URLs (/publications/, /talks/, /teaching/, /reviewing/, /cv/, /resume/, /about/) redirect to the matching section of the new one-page site.

Local development (optional)

npm install
npm run dev # dev server at http://localhost:5173
npm run build # production build into docs/ (ignored by git)
npm run preview # serve the built docs/ folder locally
